Welcome home Breah!
I arrived home from my eigth grade Washington D.C. trip on May, 4, which is my dad's birthday as well. I had a hard time getting sleep on the longggg bus ride through the night. So, I was looking forward to being able to sleep the whole next day away! Little did I know this wouldn't be the case! As I am getting of the bus, I see my mom waiting for me and the first this she says is their is something waiting for you at home and she gave off a little smirk. I honestly didnt think much of it ! I just thought she got me a gift or made me my favorite meal! We arrived home and as I am walking up to my house I see two unfamiliar faces looking out the front door. They were two of the cutest faces I have ever seen. First I saw a young boy looking out the window; his eyes filled with fear, worry, and curosity. Then I saw a little girl with huge eyes and crazy black hair waving to me. I then knew we added two new foster children to our family. Without ever meeting these kids, knowing what they've been through, or any of their previous life, they were accepted into my home with open arms. When starting to foster, my family planned on one girl but God works in so many crazy ways. We now have three foster childern under the age of five, two boys and one girl. I have always wanted a sister and I am so thankful to be sharing my room and life with my little Kate! It's amazing how everything always works out and how far a lot of love and acceptance can go. This week I am competing for Miss Ohio's Outstanding Teen and no matter the outcome I am proud of my accomplishments and everyday I am reminded of why I do this ! I wouldn't change it for the world!

What's New....
I have been very busy these past few months. A lot has changed in the Anderson home . Here is just a quick summary of what has been going on...
I am also so proud of my brother Jay who has chosen to go to Haiti in June for ten days. I would love to share this experience with my little brother but with Miss Ohio, I won't be able to go. I wish him all the best and hope he can come home and teach me a few things...
As listed before, my family is currently fostering a little boy. We already love him to death and he fits right in. I cannot release personal information or images for his safety. But, I can tell you that he is such a strong, cute, and funny little guy. He spends most of his time playing basketball (which my brothers love) and is the tallest three year-old I know ! I will be continuing with the updates on my journey and our little guy!
- I held a pajama drive for children in foster care. I collected over 800 brand new pairs of pajamas. The pajamas were then distributed to four Ohio counties.
- My family is now a certified foster family.
- I have been working hard to prepare for Miss Ohio's Outstanding Teen in June!
- I spoke and sang at the Right to Life : Mercer County Send Off
- My family is fostering a little boy now!

It's Those Little Things... ;)
It has seemed like FOREVER since I have last updated my blog but I am back:) School is in full swing and life is getting busy again but I wouldn't have it any other way! Tonight my little buddy was getting frustrated with his homework so I sat down and said what do you need help with Alex. He then replied, "These countries and waters! I hate them all... they all sound the same!" I laughed and helped him out, gave him a few tips and pointers for his big test tomorrow and even found an online game to help his little brain. Twenty minutes passed and he knew them like he knows the players for the Chicago Bears. Tonight I realize that it is not always the big things in life; it's those little things...

I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way...
Well as many of you know through my hard work, drive, and determination, it was God's plan for me to capture the title of Miss Lake Festival's Outstanding Teen 2012! I am so honored, blessed, and excited to have the title and go on to compete for Miss Ohio's Outstanding Teen 2013! If it wasn't for everyone who supported me through wristband sales, praying, reading my blog and facebook updates, and just rooting for me the whole way this wouldn't have been possible ! I love all of you and the journey has just begun! I would love to give a huge shout out to my friends Jenna, Maddy, Ashtyn, Macy, and Logan. They have been by my side since day one of preparing and I couldn't have done it without their support! I also would love to thank my AMAZING family... Dad and Mom - You guys are the best , I love you! Jay and Aiden - I know sometimes it is hard to listen to me sing 24-7 or watch me practice interview and so on, but I know at the end of the day you guys are always there to have my back and support me. Alex - Thank you for allowing me to share our story and showing that adoption is something to celebrate and not to hide. I love you buddy. I know you will always be my number one fan!
I know June seems far away but preparing has already begun for Miss Ohio's Outstanding Teen! I will keep you all updated on my apperances ! I can't wait ! :)
Love Always,
Breah

It's CRUCH Time...!!!
Alright guys two days, two days!
It is crazy to think that the day I have worked for since April is only two days away. I am so ready, so prepared, and so thankful. Today I caught myself worried about my hair, make-up, nails, dresses, and shoes; then I said to myself, " Breah remember what your in it for!" My platform....
I am truly so thankful for this opportunity. Coming into this I was most nervous about the interview portion of competition. Now, it has became my favorite! I love to talk about my platform and I feel while in the interview the judges can get to know me. I am also excited about talent. I have always loved to sing ! I will be singing " Get Here" by Oleta Adams. Right away I just felt a personal connection. Alex was away in Korea for a year and there wasn't a thing we could do about it. We just wanted him to 'get here'.
I have done everything I can to prepare. So, no matter what happens I will still continue to advocate for adoption. Please say a prayer for me!
Love Always,
Breah

God is Good! =)
Friday night I went to watch Alex's baseball game, they were all so adorable. As I watched my little lefty hit a double, it made me really think about TWO things.... Alex was once labeled "Special Needs". He is such a good little athlete it amazes me that someone ever labeled him special needs. Most of you know that Alex has a heart condition called dextrocardia and was born premature. He has also underwent open heart surgery because he had ASD'S and VSD'S (holes in his heart). Dextrocardia is a condition in which the heart is pointed toward the right side of the chest instead of normally pointing to the left. Even though Alex has dextrocardia, he doesn't let it affect him, not one bit. Once when at the community pool Alex was asked by a curious little girl what happened to his chest. He then replied, "Oh, it's just a shark bite," and he continued swimming and acted like it was no big deal. Alex's casual, absent-minded personality really encourages me everyday to be a better person. The second thing I thought about was he lived his first 18 months as an orphan. If you look up the meaning of orphan it is a child without any parents. Well at his baseball game he was far from an orphan. Grandma Julie was there,Mom and Dad were there, Jay, Aiden and I were there. When we left the ball field we dropped him off at his Best Friend Rece Rutledge's for a birthday party. Alex spent the night there then Rece spent the day and night with us Saturday! Alex is a grandson, a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew and a best friend! Special not special needs and an orphan....not anymore!
At his game we also received his baseball pictures; well here is his!-
My Mom asked Alex," Why do you look upset?"
He the replied, " Okay Mom, boys that smile in baseball pictures; it makes them look like they are going to get beat. Only girls are allowed to smile! "
That whole night we were laughing so hard. What would we do without our little Seung Joon Ha?
